  • Patient Representative

    Are you a Medical Assistant? Or perhaps you’ve been a Medical Receptionist and are looking for a new challenge? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of these questions, you may be interested in our Patient Representative opening!

    Our Patient Representatives are considered our Doctors’ “right hand” in the clinic. Physicians Diagnostics &Rehabilitation (PDR) is a specialty clinic with a focus on and medical expertise in the treatment musculoskeletal pain. Our team of advanced practice therapists and on-site physicians are the cornerstone of our clinics.

    Employment Type: Regular, Full-time; Hourly for both our Edina and Burnsville clinics (this position will be based out of both clinics).

    Hours:Monday- Friday with varying hours between 6:00AM-6:00PM depending on the doctor’s schedule for that day.

    We are looking for someone who is friendly and enthusiastic, with a team-first mentality. You will need to be punctual, self-motivated, and be able to problem solve.

    Daily Job Responsibilities:

    • Delivery of exquisite customer service
    • Check patients into the clinic
    • Answer phones
    • Chart Preparation: attaining all medical records, copy of patient referrals, etc. prior to the doctor appointment. Ensure proper follow up as needed.
    • Patient Communications: describing/communicating what is required at each appointment, and making confirmation calls
    • Patient Appointments: greeting and rooming patients, gathering patient history, ensure data accuracy in EHR, and ensuring MACRA measures and psychometrics are accurately recorded.
    • Work closely with the doctor, ensuring dictations are entered into the system promptly and accurately.
    • Assist in insurance verifications/authorizations
    • Back up to scheduling

    Qualification Requirements:

    Education: High school diploma

    Experience: 2+ years working in a clinic or hospital environment with doctor supervision

    Other: Because this position is critical to provide proper patient care, reliable and punctual attendance is required during scheduled hours. This position may require the employee to work at all PDR clinics based on staffing needs so reliable transportation is mandatory.

    This position will be primarily at both our Edina and Burnsville clinics.

  • Registered Therapist

    We are hiring! Physicans’ Diagnostics and Rehabilitation Clinics is looking to add either an Occupational or Physical Therapist to our provider team!

    We are excited to meet with both OT and PT candidates who have a desire to learn more about strength and conditioning programs, behavioral therapies and active therapeutic approaches. We use an active, biopsychosocial approach aimed at restoring functional goals through physical exercise and cognitive-behavioral therapies. Our outcomes support our model, and we have been recognized by several payers by winning innovation awards and recognition of our practice in meeting the triple-aim of patient satisfaction, quality outcomes, and affordability.

    But it doesn’t end there. We also invest in YOU. Do you want to become a spine specialist? We have an incredible onboarding and training program. The program begins with a 12 day, paid orientation program to ensure that new therapists are well prepared prior to seeing patients independently. We want to ensure that they have the tools they need to succeed. After onboarding, there is continual training with the clinic manager. We go through quality assurance processes to ensure our therapists are knowledgeable in all aspects, and receive additional training where needed. Once on the schedule, our therapists have the opportunity to meet with patients 1 on 1 for full 1 hour appointments to treat their neck and back pain.

    The Registered Therapists responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working with patients of all ages who have some type of medical issue, illness, injury, or other difficulty that affects their ability to move and perform daily activities. Evaluate and treat patients in keeping with an established treatment plan.


    The following duties are normal for this position. These duties are not exclusive. As necessary, PDR Clinics may require and assign additional duties and/or responsibilities with or without prior notice.

    PDR Handbook compliance / regular, reliable and punctual attendance during schedule hours

    Patient Care

    • Provides evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of rehabilitation protocols and individualized treatment planning.
      • OT: Performs specific activity of daily living evaluation and objective testing to determine patient’s specific impairments.
      • PT: Performs specific orthopaedic evaluation and objective testing to determine patient’s specific impairments.
    • Participation in MedX objective testing using MedX equipment, with subsequent recommendations being made per test results.
      • OT: Specific patient goal setting and establishing a plan of care based upon OT related impairments, specifically regarding return to functional and work activities.
      • PT: Specific patient goal setting and establishing a plan of care based upon PT related impairments, specifically regarding pain and structural impairments that limit function.
    • Using exercises, hands-on therapy, equipment, and education to help patients regain function.
    • Evaluate a patient’s progress, modifying a treatment plan and trying new treatments as needed.
    • Educate patients and their families about what to expect during recovery, coping skills, and continuation of a home therapy plan.
    • Documentation of OT or PT services including evaluations, daily SOAP notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
    • Patient treatment – goal of 80% billable time.
    • Accurate billing of services per CPT coding guidelines in a timely manner.

    Supervision of Therapy Assistants

    • Appropriate delegation of services per OT or PT practice act guidelines and co-signing treatment notes.
    • Re-assessment and collaboration with Assistant per OT or PT practice guidelines.

    Case Management

    • Participation in rounds meetings and report of progress and treatment planning with multidisciplinary team.
    • Follow thru on all patients regarding their plan of care, communication with doctors and case managers, and discharging patients that don’t complete treatment plans.

    Practice Competencies

    • Completion of all quality assurance (QA) competencies set forth by the rehabilitation teams that include all areas of PDR MedX protocols within OT or PT scope of practice.
    • Participation in clinic and rehabilitation team meetings in pursuit of increasing quality of the rehabilitation program.

    Clinic Duties

    • Participation in all clinic related responsibilities of the rehabilitation department as delegated by the site manager, including OSHA guidelines, supply ordering/stocking, gym facility duties, training new employees, etc.


    • Occupational Therapist: Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited institution.
    • Physical Therapist: Masters or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
    • Current Minnesota license to practice Occupational or Physical therapy.


    MedX testing and exercise equipment, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, resistance equipment, functional and work simulation equipment, exercise balls, steps, balance boards; bolsters/wedges, digital inclinometer range of motion measurement instruments; Electronic manual muscle testers; Muscle testing equipment, cervical pivots; lumbar pivots; occipivots; thoracic pivots, hammers, wheels, traction and mobilization physical therapy tables, upper body ergometers and other physical therapy tools.


    Work is indoors in typical rehabilitative clinic setting.


    • Ability to perform the following categories of physical tasks:
    • Strength and movement: stand, walk, use hands and fingers to use rehabilitative tools and implements and conduct therapy movements, reach with hands and arms, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb, push/pull routinely lift and move 20-30 pounds, occasional lifting of 50 pounds. Ability to demonstrate exercise and functional movements using exercise ball, crates, toolboxes, bags, buckets, shovel, vacuum.
    • Hearing: hear patients verbal statements to allow communication with patients and staff.
    • Vision: see patients and remain capable of discerning facial expressions and indications of physical mobility.
    • Language: communicate effectively and coherently


    Monthly schedules are typically assigned six weeks in advance. Due to the nature of this client-based job, punctual and good attendance is essential. It is expected that all salaried therapists work 2 shifts per week until 7pm. Should a need in another PDR location exist, PDR may expect temporary coverage in any of the other clinic locations, or discuss a clinic transfer agreement. Drive distance, preference, and seniority are all taken into consideration.
