PDR’s Extremity Pain Program
At PDR clinics, we understand pain. Our 25+ years of experience treating pain extends beyond the spine. In addition to providing specialty care for people with neck and back pain, we apply the same principles to treating persistent pain in other areas of the body. We use various modalities and treatment techniques to decrease the muscle imbalances, pain and inflammation associated with extremity (e.g. shoulder, hip, knee) pain, as well as to promote soft tissue healing. Exercises help to restore function by improving flexibility and increasing strength. Our Extremity Pain Program is aimed at improving posture, strength and restoring range of motion to enable you to return to work, daily and recreational activities!
Once you’ve been evaluated by one of our physician specialists, occupational and physical therapists, an individualized treatment program will be formulated for your specific needs.
Virtually all musculoskeletal pain problems can be treated with the PDR approach, including:
- Work Injuries
- Repetitive Stress/ Overuse Injuries

Additionally, you’ll learn specific exercises to stretch and strengthen your arm/leg in order to increase your functional abilities and decrease pain. An ergonomic assessment may also be performed to modify your work station as needed to improve your posture and decrease stress/strain to your joints. You will be instructed in proper body mechanics and lifting techniques, and you may perform work conditioning tasks as needed to ensure success at work.
